Work at the pool
What's happening now
- System testing: Crews are running pumps and filters, dialing in chemical treatment, and checking controls. Water may look cloudy at times during chemical balancing - that's expected.
- Scenario stress-tests: We simulate a variety of real-world scenarios over extended periods of time to confirm systems will perform as expected.
- Hiring: The Recreation Department is building the team we need to operate the pool. Right now, lifeguards are especially needed. Learn more and apply
What's next
- On-site prep: After key commissioning milestones are achieved, Aquatics staff will begin a period of on-site training and preparations while final testing and calibration continues.
What the new pool will offer
- 27-meter competition pool with diving well and 12 lap lanes
- 3,177 sq. ft. activity pool with three 25-yard lap lanes and warm water year-round
- Multi-purpose community room
- Rooftop pavillion
