Deadline extended: Apply by March 18 to serve on a Commission or Committee
Published March 10, 2026
The City has extended the deadline to apply for appointments to City Commissions and Committees to Wednesday, March 18.
Open seats are available on the Budget Advisory and Financial Planning Committee, Public Safety Committee, Recreation Commission, and as the City’s representative to the Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees. For several of these openings, no applications have been submitted as of March 10.
Serving in these volunteer positions is an excellent way to learn about the inner workings of City government. As a Commissioner, you’d help shape City programs, policies, and services by providing a valuable resident perspective on upcoming and proposed projects. No special knowledge or experience is required – simply an interest in local government and willingness to serve.
If you know someone who would be a good fit, please share and encourage them to apply!
Apply online by March 18 at piedmont.ca.gov/Commissioner.
