Piedmont Police Department

The Piedmont Police Department is comprised of dedicated professionals committed to providing the highest quality of service and protection to the Piedmont community. We are proud of our strong community partnerships and combine these partnerships with the strengths of technology and the highest possible professional standards and training in an effort to meet the current and future policing needs of our community. Our goal is to provide the best customer service possible and ensure Piedmont is a safe place to live, work, play, and learn.

The Piedmont Police Department employs 19 sworn personnel (the Police Chief, one Captain, four Sergeants and thirteen Police Officers), 9 non-sworn personnel (a Support Services Commander, five Dispatchers, two Animal Control Officers and one Administrative Assistant), as well as a part-time investigator, four Police Reserves, two Per Diem Dispatchers, two part-time Parking Enforcement Officers, and one part-time Property Room Specialist. Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS) and Police Explorers round out our staff of devoted public servants.
