Linda Ave Crosswalk Project

Begins Monday Jun. 19th

On Monday, June 19th, construction will begin on the Linda Avenue Crosswalk Improvement project, which will reconfigure the two existing mid-block crosswalks on Linda Avenue between Grand and Lake Avenues. This project will also include the installation of flashing pedestrian signage, new street lights, new landscaping, and new roadway striping to complete the regional bikeway on Linda Ave. from Grand Ave. to Piedmont Ave.

There will be traffic control in the area during this project, which is expected to last six weeks. The construction will affect parking in the area, as well as access to the dog park, tot lot, tennis courts, and playfield. Please be mindful when walking, biking, or driving through this area, and respect all of the traffic control signage and warnings. If you have any questions, please contact Chester Nakahara, Director of Public Works, at cnakahara@piedmont.ca.gov or via phone at (510) 420-3050.

For more information on the project, please see the June 5, 2017 Council Agenda Report on the project.
