Welcome to KCOM
Station Overview
KCOM-TV, Channel 27, is a government/education access station located in City Hall. Our purpose is to educate and inform the residents of Piedmont about their local government and its services and to enhance community life by providing programs which focus on local, social, cultural and historic events.
Programs on KCOM-TV are based on the following objectives:
- To increase awareness of the activities and deliberations of the city council, school board, planning commission and other advisory bodies in the city.
- To provide direct, unbiased and non-editorial information about current events which encourages the public’s participation in their local government
- To provide information about city services, facilities, functions and operations
- To reinforce community values by providing programs regarding cultural, social or historic events.
A guide to programming is published weekly. All programs produced by KCOM-TV are available for purchase in a variety of formats.

On-Line Video
KCOM-TV broadcasts live meetings of the Piedmont City Council, School Board, Planning Commission, Park Commission and Recreation Commission on cable Channel 27. These meetings are simultaneously available through KCOM’s on-line video service. Click here to view KCOM on-line video.
Volunteers
Each year KCOM-TV looks for volunteers to assist in the production of its special interest programs. Volunteers are provided with 12 hours of training in digital camera techniques and are asked to serve an equal number of hours either in the studio or in the field assisting with station productions. Residents interested in videography are encouraged to call KCOM-TV for more information.
