2012 Municipal ElectionFeb. 7 - 7AM to 8PM

The City of Piedmont will hold its General Municipal Election on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.  There are two seats up for election on the City Council and three seats up for election on the Board of Education. A measure regarding a Special Municipal Sewer Surtax also appears on the ballot.

Recreation Commission to Hold Pool HearingsFeb 15 - 7:30PM
City Council Chambers

On January 18th and February 15th, the Piedmont Recreation Commission will hold hearings on the operation of the Piedmont Community Pool in the City Council Chambers at 120 Vista Avenue, Piedmont. These hearings will also be televised on KCOM-TV Comcast Channel 27, and streamed live on the City’s web site.

Public Comment Invited on Recommendations

The City of Piedmont invites public comment on the matrix combining the recommendations of the City Council Audit Subcommittee, Municipal Tax Review Committee, and League of Women Voters Task Force to Investigate and Report on Piedmont Hills Undergrounding District. This matrix, along with the full reports of each of these bodies are linked below.

Moraga Canyon Sports Fields Project

On December 5, 2011, the Piedmont City Council approved the Blair Park element of the Moraga Canyon Sports Fields Project and rejected the Coaches Field element of the same project. Along with approving the Blair Park element, the Council passed several conditions of approval for the project. The Council did not act on a proposed site lease for the construction of the Blair Park element, continuing that matter to a future meeting.
